About Turkey
The key fibre infrastructure and service providers in Turkey are dominated by a few major players, with Türk Telekom holding the largest network, followed by significant investments from Turkcell Superonline and other alternative operators.
Turkey is connected to several key international submarine cable systems namely BlueMed, Kafos, MedNautilus Submarine System, SeaMeWe-5 (SMW-5), Turcyos-1 & Turcyos-2, and the new cable ‘Kardesa’ planned to land in Turkey in 2027.
There are now Global cloud players and major international tech firms are actively present in Turkey, with Google announcing in November 2025 the partnership with Turkcell to establish a dedicated cloud region in Turkey, this initiative involves a joint-investment of USD 3 billion to build Turkey’s first hyperscale regional data centre.
The report reveals that there are over 40 Data Centre Providers with over 50 Data Centre Facilities. Turkey’s data centre market is experiencing significant growth driven by AI demand and hyperscale investments, particularly in the cities Ankara and Izmir with large upcoming facilities by Khazna’s 100 MW data centre and Vodafone-Damac, with the latter adding 6 MW of power to the Turkish market with expansion up to 12 MW. The report provides for each of the facility covered:

In December 2025, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Turkish Prime Minister said: ‘Türkiye will establish a digital bridge between Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, and our country will become the data hub of its region’.
